AgileTrinity Services currently seeks a Agile Product Discovery Coach to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).

The Agile Product Discovery Coach will be instrumental in accelerating a transition from a traditional Waterfall SDLC approach to one that integrates design thinking, user experience, and product management practices into Agile, Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, and DevSecOps approaches to digital transformation. He/she will be a champion for Agile adoption and responsible for delivering results, coaching and developing self-directed application development teams by setting direction, engaging stakeholders, and removing obstacles to foster continuous improvement. This position is a good fit for a user experience designer or product manager looking to move into a coaching, thought leadership role. Job duties include:

  • Coaching teams and senior leaders on design thinking, user experience/product design best practices (e.g. Lean UX)
  • Providing instruction in design and product management-related classes in our Agile training program
  • Facilitating workshops on business value discovery, retrospectives, and design activities (e.g. Google Sprint, Design Studio)
  • Mentoring Scrum Masters, product owners and team members on Agile software development principles and practices, Scrum processes, team building, and facilitation
  • Coach executives and stakeholders to align their expectations for working with an Agile development environment
  • Effectively incorporate client insights into team direction by working with management and product owners to establish feature delivery based on business value and priority
  • Facilitate positive change by providing advice and input on technical direction, tools and processes to help demonstrate the value of agile delivery
  • Act as a true partner and coach, participating in real-time to provide advice or assistance to teams and team members as they tackle and overcome difficult challenges

Job Level Specific Duties:

  • Manages task scope from budget, location and resource perspective
  • Mentor and train less experienced delivery team members
  • Accountable for implementing delivery management processes and improvements
  • Expected to assist the sales organization in selling services during pre-sales process
  • Provides complex metrics and reporting support to relevant stakeholders
  • Identifies opportunities for innovation
  • Designs and delivers technical training programs based on business needs
  • Assists development of technology specific solutions
  • Participates in talent acquisition activities

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Agile Coach/Trainer
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Skills:

  • Strong organizing and planning skills to oversee project deliverables
  • Strong priority setting and delegation skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation and communication skills

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions:

  • Ability to physically perform general office requirements
  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
